Friendship Games
Tuesday. 10.23.07 1:26 am
Friday around 6-ish PM we left for Friendship Games in Fullerton. On the way we were playing this game where we have to find a word that starts with a letter of the alphabet. After finding the word you go on to the next letter. In the beginning from a-g we are all pretty much on the same letters. It's pretty funny how it took the whole 6 hours for us to finish the game with Joelle winning.

I don't really want to say what happened... so I guess I'll fast forward to us arriving at the hotel. We arrive and when we go up the elevator to our rooms we are told to make a direct right. I make the right and there's nothing there but a window. I continue onto the other side and see a door and I'm about to open it but then I see in the "name plate" on the door and it says in bold, black print "STORAGE." We then thought we went on the wrong floor so we went back down to the first. We then saw a few others in the club who were waiting to use the elevator to go up to the room. We go up once again and finally find the room. We sleep and have to wake up at 4 for Friendship Games.

I'll continue this later. I'm not adding so much detail so you won't have to worry about this entry being like my Cruise entry.

Right now Resident Evil: Apocalypse is on. I have no idea why I watch this...

Edit//

So it's about 1:30 AM and more people are beginning to arrive from our little cluster of club members. As I go to sleep Mimi explains that there will be a list for everyone to use the bathroom and take a shower or whatever. I'm just too lazy to say when I want to go so I just go to sleep. The intervals of showering are 5 minutes each and this is for after Friendship Games.

I awake once I hear voices again. I remember that I feel asleep on the floor right next to the bed-- the tight space between the bed and the glass window. It's not too uncomfortable but I have to get up. My alarm then rings. It's 2:30 AM. Mimi just lays down a rule that no one can talk until 4. Everyone else finally sleeps and here I am with nothing to do. I take out my iPod, lay down, and close my eyes. I wake up an hour later to hearing people shuffle around. I shower and brush my teeth and just try to kill time. We leave. I go into the car and I just fall asleep as soon as I sit. When I wake up we are already in Fullerton. It's still pretty dark out. We have to go across what seems like three different parking lots to stand in line in another parking lot. There we see a huge line of schools dressed in their own themes. There's video games, more video games, homeless people, circus, and stuff. Long Beach's theme was the whole homeless thing. So we're standing in line until the sun comes up which is a pretty long time. When we finally arrive at the place where they stamp you so you can enter, the stampers act all stressed out and start yelling "You go there! Not you. Him! THERE! ouasofha3wjrhfo3qwhtfo3t! I HAVE DIARRHEA!" Sheesh. If you just calmly tell us what to do we wouldn't get so flustered and all panicky. Ok so I wouldn't get so flustered and panicky.

I have to continue this later again because I need to finish history homework.

So we finally find our place to set up our tent. We set it ( actually they set it and I'm just like dazing out). Then it's roll call. Roll call is when some people from the club go up and do a short performance thing to show that your school is present. We watch the other schools go then it's our turn. There are 7 of us in the back just waving our sign things that spell "Kilusan" while the 5 of them dance. When we go up we hear Long Beach yelling "Why are you trying to be like us wearing black." It was just stupid stuff I guess for them intimidating us. And apparently they were bashing on Marvin because he wasn't his brother. Marvin's brother goes to Long Beach so I felt bad for him.

After the roll call are the games. I cheered for our team along with I think his name is Dane. On a side note, many people I'm meeting remind me of people at home. Dane reminds me of Bonci.... just by the way he acts except that day he was really laidback. Most of us were because we were exhausted.

There's a short intermission and I go with a few people to get pood. We eat and there's this performance by this guy. He then talks to the audience and performs. From what I remember he says, "Let's take back our home land the Philippines!" and he just starts to cuss like there's no tomorrow. I mean I can care less if you curse a lot, it's just that when that happens during an intermission for an event that promotes unity and friendship... that doesn't mix. Am I weird for thinking that? So we go back and we rest for about half an hour.

The nex event is conveyor belt. We have to get everyone together. The problem is that most of the people who signed up backed out. We needed like 4 new people. We were lucky enough to get them so we rushed towards the field. Conveyor belt is where you have people lying on the ground while one person lays on top of all of them. Your job is to get the person on top of everyone to the other end of the field. We didn't win but we didn't get last. We had problems in the middle.

The event afterwards was something that involed water. I forgot the name... You had to get water from the water cooler thing and pass the flower pot you're holding to the person behind you. The pot is passed to the last person and s/he runs to the bucket at the end, drops the remaining water drops in the bucket, runs to the front, fills the pot and passes it behind him/her. The cycle continues until time is called. We ended up being int he last heat where it was difficult to scoop water from the coolers because it was below. It was hard for shorter people. We didn't win, but it was exciting.

We return to the hotel and we all go out to different places. Some people go to Irvine for some reason. I go out with a few people and I order this baked potato thing. It was awesome because it had chicken, cheese, peppers, and good stuff.

The next day we leave. Some people get lost so we stop at a few gas stations. After the last gas station we go. A couple of hours later we get a call saying that everyone is at Red Robin. We're ahead so we just continue since we were close to Stockton.

There was an after party and they were watching Knocked Up. And we ate.

that's the slim version of the weekend.

Oh and I took some pictures but I'm too lazy to post them. I'll get to it...sometime... maybe.

wake up at 4am? dang...
Why watch it? Because it's entertaining enough to grab your attention for an hour and a half.

Heck, why not?
